Magnolia Austin is a women-owned, family-run cabinet, countertop and remodeling studio in North Austin, built by two people who wanted their mothers’ memory in the name over the door.
Why we are called Magnolia
A name for two mothers
Cristy Hernandez and Frances Nieto founded Magnolia Austin LLC on July 1, 2022. The magnolia was both of their mothers’ favourite flower, so when it came time to name the company, they chose it — to honour their mothers’ memory and the strength those two women still hand down to them.
The magnolia emblem sits over the heart on every one of their work shirts, a small reminder that their mothers are still with them. A Yelp reviewer who met one of the co-owners at the design center recorded a detail that says the same thing a different way: the logo itself carries a letter from each of their mothers’ names.

Craft runs on both sides
A father who built things that last
Craft is not new to this family. Cristy and Frances’s father served two tours in Vietnam and spent his working life as a Master Mason and bricklayer — the other trade in the family, and the one that set the standard for everything built since.
It is the same instinct that shows up in a cabinet box that is square, a countertop seam you cannot find, and an install crew that treats your house like it is going to outlast them — because that is how they were raised to build.
Why one design center
Every material, one room, one decision at a time
Cristy and Frances opened their design center at 2103 W Anderson Ln, Suite B so that cabinets, countertops, tile and flooring could all live in one place. Picking a kitchen should not mean driving to five different suppliers and hoping the choices work together once they finally meet in your house.
The design center held its grand opening and ribbon-cutting on May 28, 2026. Magnolia Austin is also an authorized Wolf Home Products dealer, carrying the Artisan, Classic and Endeavor cabinet lines.

Cristy and Frances held their ribbon-cutting and grand opening at the design center on May 28, 2026 — meeting neighbors and clients over refreshments and a first look at the new showroom floor.
